North America’s biggest seafood festival is called SENA. Showcasing more than 1320 exhibitors exhibiting a broad range of seafood products, services, and equipment from 49 different countries.
In its 42nd year, Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America will maintain the show’s upward trajectory. You will have access to a plethora of global merchants at this event. It makes it possible for suppliers and customers to forge enduring bonds, purchase new goods, and strengthen their ties in the seafood sector.
The event will take up 244,965 net square feet of display space. The show grew by 25% in size year over year at last year’s event, showing the potential for this event to keep growing.
Boston: The place to be for seafood events in North America
For generations, the seafood sector has played a significant cultural and economic role in Massachusetts. The capital city of Boston is a seafood haven. Right off the coast, fleets of boats hunt for fresh seafood, while neighbourhood eateries entice patrons with the promise of lobster, fish, chowder, and oysters.
In the Seaport District of the city, the Port of Boston is home to several seafood processing businesses spread across three locations. Approximately 500 local jobs are supported by the more than 20 enterprises that operate out of this seafood processing hub, which supplies local and national consumers with fish.
In addition, Boston has state-of-the-art conference and exhibition spaces that are perfect for hosting a trade show, and visitors will find plenty of comfortable lodging options and excellent transportation links in the city.
SENA 2024 edition at a glance!
The event, which connects seafood experts for three days of business, will be in its 42nd year. According to the show’s organizer, the newest iteration, scheduled for 2024, would include “new experiential areas” designed to provide guests with greater chances to network with other industry professionals. The “Wave Makers’ Zone,” one of the new areas, will have a full schedule of events, such as the Oyster Shucking Competition, the Seafood Excellence Awards, the New Product Showcase and Featured Product Showcase, chef demonstrations, live podcast interviews, sampling opportunities, and more.
This year’s exhibitors, which range from up-and-coming start-ups to well-known brands, will showcase innovations in a variety of industry sectors, such as sustainability and aquaculture. Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America will also include a conference program with over 25 educational sections delivered by leading authorities in the seafood industry on a range of subjects, including consumer trends, AI, aquaculture and aquatech, and traceability, among others.
The show hall, with exhibitors from over 45 countries, is a testament to the importance of the North American market to the fish sector as a whole. This year’s event has seen a rise in the number of participating nations, including Norway, the United Kingdom, Ecuador, and Chile. Additionally, new exhibitors from Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Mauritania, and Myanmar are making their debuts.
